1979 Apple II Plus – A 3D Tribute to Steve Wozniak

To celebrate Steve Wozniak’s birthday, I created a detailed 3D model and animation of the iconic 1979 Apple II Plus in Blender.

At the time, my own Apple II Plus was undergoing repairs, so I decided to recreate it digitally instead. The animation features my Apple II drawing a portrait of Steve Wozniak using AppleSoft BASIC, paying homage to both the machine and the engineer who helped revolutionize personal computing.

This short project combines historical appreciation with 3D modeling, animation, and a bit of retro computing nostalgia. Every part of the Apple II Plus was modeled from scratch to capture the look and character of the original computer as faithfully as possible.

Whether you’re a retro computing enthusiast, a fan of Steve Wozniak, or interested in 3D art created with Blender, I hope you enjoy this small tribute to one of the most influential computers ever made.
